Pray for July English Camps

“For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” (Hebrews 6:10)

PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC (prahg). “Pray for Summer English Camps that will be held throughout this month,” writes the Prague Mega-City Team. “Again this year, we will offer a City Day Camp (July 19-26) designed especially for students living in a suburb in western Prague. English Camp Benecko 2008 will be taking place in the mountains north of Prague that same week. Pray that all logistics for the English camps will be worked out and that nothing will hinder students from attending the camps. Ask God to draw them to Himself, and pray that He will soften their hearts to hear and receive Him. Ask God to break down all barriers and provide opportunities for witnessing, and ask that they will be responsive. Pray that the students’ desire to learn English will be an inroad toward relationships for sharing the gospel. Pray that they will see God’s love through the teams and that we will truly minister and serve them. Pray that this will lead to the start of new groups in Prague.”

Praying For Prague 2008

May 1-7 is a time to pray for Prague to be reached for Christ.

Thank you for joining us during this week of prayer. We believe that prayer is foundational to a church planting movement: a movement of nationals reaching nationals for Christ throughout the country, our city and every segment of society. We are convinced that without prayer, we will not see a church planting movement take place in Prague. Thank you for standing in the gap for our people group and lifting up their needs to the Lord.

We have chosen this week as it begins with a Czech holiday: May 1, Labor Day, was once the obligatory Communist “holy” day. Now it’s just a chance for a picnic or a day in the country, often preceded by an all-night party, sometimes referred to as May Day.
